He Shunping, Ph.D and Professor, Principal Investigator of Laboratory of Fish phylogenetics and Biogeography, Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He graduated from South-western Normal College in1983 and obtained his bachelor degree. In 1985 he graduated from Institute of Hydrobiology, CAS, obtained his Master degree at Laoratory of Ichthyology. In 1997, he obtained his Ph.D in Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle, Paris at the Laboratoire d’Ichthyologie General et Appliquee. Sinec 1985. His studies include fish phylogeny and biogeography. His contributions involved the phylogeny reconstruction of freshwater fishes in different taxomonic level and the phylogeography in Eastern Mt. Himalaya. Different markers and methods are included in his study include SINE, multi-gene and transcriptome dataset.
